Start a new booking
Last updated July 23, 2026
Use New Job to turn a customer request into a booked appointment, a lead for later follow-up, or an estimate.
Common uses
- Book work during an inbound call.
- Add a new customer or location without leaving the request.
- Review available appointment recommendations.
- Save an opportunity that is not ready to schedule.
- Begin an estimate instead of a job.
Before you begin
Have the customer and service address, business unit, job type, marketing campaign, preferred date, and any assignment preferences ready. You need permission to book jobs.
Open New Job
Click New Job in the main navigation.
The main form collects the request; Actions determines the outcome.
Follow the booking sequence
- Under Customer Selection, find or create the customer.
- Select the service location.
- Complete Job Details, including Business Unit, Job Type, and Marketing Campaign.
- Add priority, custom fields, or Lead Information when they apply.
- Complete Scheduling and review Get availability when useful.
- Review Additional Settings.
- In Actions, choose Book Job, Save as Lead, or Create Estimate.
Complete the form from top to bottom so dependent choices are available at the right time.
Start with Select a customer and location. If a record is missing, follow Create a customer or Add a service location.
What happens next
The selected action creates the corresponding record and keeps it connected to the customer and service location. A booked job becomes available in Jobs and scheduling workspaces.
Troubleshooting
An action is unavailable
Complete the customer, location, and required job details first. Create Estimate also requires a marketing campaign.
