Use the Pricebook workspace
Last updated July 23, 2026
Purpose and common uses
The Pricebook workspace is the source of the services, materials, equipment, assemblies, memberships, discounts, and fees your team adds to customer documents. Use it to keep names, descriptions, costs, prices, tax settings, and categories consistent.
Before you begin
You need Pricebook access. Decide who can change company-wide pricing, and create a simple category structure before adding a large catalog.
Open and navigate Pricebook
- In the main navigation, click Pricebook.
- Use the tabs across the top to move between Services, Materials, Equipment, Assemblies, Categories, Templates, Memberships, Price Builder, Discounts & Fees, and Vendors.
- Use Search, All Categories, and All Statuses inside a tab to narrow the list.
- Click an item's action menu to view, edit, duplicate, archive, or restore it.
- Select multiple rows to use the available bulk actions.
Use the workspace tabs to move between the records that make up your Pricebook.
Add or move records
- Click Actions.
- Choose Add Service, Add Material, Add Equipment, Add Assembly, or Add Category.
- Complete the required fields, then save.
- To move directly to a specific list, click its tab. Each Pricebook tab has its own shareable page address.
Use Import Pricebook for a prepared catalog and Export Pricebook when you need an offline review. Confirm imported prices, tax settings, categories, and active status before the team uses them.
Filter the current tab before selecting records or applying bulk changes.
What happens next
Active Pricebook records become available in the corresponding Add Item menus on estimates and invoices. Materials and equipment can also be linked to Inventory Items and added to purchase orders.
Troubleshooting
An item does not appear on an estimate or invoice
Open the item's tab, set All Statuses to Archived, and look for the record. Restore it if needed. Also confirm you are searching the correct item type.
The list looks incomplete
Clear the search, category, and status filters. If a total still looks outdated, click Refresh.
A price changed in one document but not another
Existing documents keep their own line-item values. Update the document line item when the new Pricebook price should apply.
