Finish the request by choosing the appointment details, reviewing customer preferences, and selecting the outcome that matches the conversation.
Common uses
- Book a requested date and arrival window.
- Review best-fit appointment recommendations.
- Assign one or more technicians during booking.
- Save an unscheduled opportunity as a lead.
- Create an estimate instead of a job.
Before you begin
Complete the customer, location, business unit, job type, marketing campaign, and any required custom fields. Confirm the customer’s preferred date and contact method.
Open Scheduling
Go to New Job, complete Customer Selection and Job Details, then scroll to Scheduling.
Set the schedule
- Under Scheduling, choose Start Date.
- Choose Arrival Window, or select Custom arrival window and enter Custom Start Time and Custom End Time.
- Enter the internal Start Time.
- Open Technicians and select the appropriate team members.
- If assignment is not known, leave technicians unselected and continue according to your dispatch process.
The arrival window is the customer-facing range; start time is the team’s planned time.
Use Get availability
- After selecting the location, business unit, and job type, click Get availability.
- In Availability preview, choose a week and optional day filters.
- Select which technicians to include.
- Review each recommendation’s arrival, start, drive context, and technician.
- Select one recommendation.
- Click Continue to fill the date, arrival window, start time, and technician.
Review additional settings
- Leave Send confirmation email to customer selected when the customer should receive booking details.
- Select Require customer signature when your process requires one.
- Add Tags as comma-separated labels when they help route or identify the job.
Choose the correct outcome
- Click Book Job when required details and the appointment are ready.
- Click Save as Lead when the customer should be retained for follow-up but is not ready to schedule. A customer is required.
- Click Create Estimate when pricing and scope should be prepared before work is booked. Customer, location, business unit, job type, and campaign are required.
Choose one outcome; do not create duplicate records for the same request.
What happens next
Nexus opens or makes available the job, lead, or estimate created from the request. A booked job appears in Jobs and scheduling views with its customer, location, classification, and appointment details.
