Browse Nexus guides

Last updated July 23, 2026

Use the Nexus Help Center to find direct, step-by-step guidance for daily work, company setup, financial workflows, and advanced features. Browse by workflow when you are learning an area, or search for the exact page, button, record, or result you need.

Before you begin

No special Nexus permission is required to browse the Help Center. A guide may describe a feature that depends on your role, plan, or company setup; each article lists those requirements before its steps.

Open and search the Help Center

  1. In Nexus, click Open help panel in the top bar.
  2. Choose the Help Center link, or open docs.nexusinc.io.
  3. Enter a visible page name, button label, or user goal in Search.
  4. Choose a result, or browse the workflow groups in the left sidebar.
  5. Use the article outline on the right to move to a specific procedure or troubleshooting case.

Search with the same words you see in Nexus, or begin with a workflow category.

Browse by customer workflow

  • Navigation — app navigation, workspace tabs, global search, and advanced search.
  • Customers — customer records, locations, notes, tags, related records, imports, and maintenance.
  • Booking — customer and location selection, job details, scheduling, and the Book Job, Save as Lead, and Create Estimate outcomes.
  • Jobs and Dispatch — appointments, status, forms, tasks, communications, attachments, job financials, timesheets, assignment, routing, and capacity.
  • Estimates and Invoices — line items, tax, sending, acceptance, payments, credits, refunds, deposits, and collections.
  • Pricebook, Inventory, and Purchasing — catalog setup, templates, memberships, stock, replenishment, warehouses, trucks, and purchase orders.
  • Projects and Team — contracts, phases, project billing, staff, roles, security, time tracking, and payroll.
  • Communications and Marketing — Nexus Phone Service, notifications, inbound messages, reviews, connections, attribution, ads, and funnels.
  • Reporting, Galileo, Knowledge Hub, and Automations — saved information, repeatable analysis, staff answers, and automated work.
  • Settings — company identity, core data, payments, integrations, and feature-specific configuration.

Follow relationships between guides

Every guide includes a compact Related in this workflow section. Use its typed links to find setup that must happen first, records configured by the current task, downstream areas that use the result, next steps, and focused troubleshooting.

For example, the Job Types guide connects to Business Units, Custom Fields, Pricebook, Inventory, New Job, Forms, Dispatch, Notifications, and Reporting. These links also appear inline where the dependency matters, so you can follow the workflow without returning to the directory.

Article pages keep the navigation, procedure, screenshots, and connected guides visible together.

What happens next

Open Get started with Nexus for the recommended setup sequence, Customers and locations to begin a customer workflow, or Jobs to manage scheduled and completed work. The left sidebar contains every workflow landing page.

Troubleshooting

Search does not return the expected guide

Use the exact visible page or control name, remove extra words, and try a common task phrase such as “record payment” or “reschedule job.” You can also browse the owning workflow category in the sidebar.

A guide describes an option you cannot see

Read Before you begin in that guide and confirm your role, company setup, and feature availability. Ask an administrator to review access when the page or action is still missing.

A screenshot looks different from the current page

Check the article’s Last updated date, then confirm you are on the same screen, tab, and record state shown in the caption. Use the related troubleshooting guide if the difference prevents you from completing the steps.
