Schedule and export reports
Last updated July 23, 2026
Exports create an on-demand copy of report results. Scheduled delivery runs a saved report for named recipients on a recurring cadence. Use schedules for stable, reviewed reports—not work that still changes frequently.
Before you begin
Build, run, spot-check, and save the report. Confirm every recipient is authorized to receive the information.
Open and export a report
Go to Reporting → Saved → select a report.
- Confirm the date range and report definition.
- Click Run.
- Review the result rows.
- Click CSV for a plain data file or XLSX for an Excel-ready workbook.
- Wait for the download.
- Open the file and confirm the title, columns, dates, and row count.
- Store or share the file according to your company's data-handling policy.
Run and review current results before downloading an export.
Create a scheduled delivery
From the saved report, click Schedule, or go to Reporting → Scheduled.
- Open Create Schedule.
- Select the Saved report.
- Enter a clear Schedule name.
- Choose the frequency and delivery time shown.
- Confirm the time zone.
- Enter the explicit recipient email addresses.
- Review the next-run information.
- Click Create Schedule.
Scheduled delivery uses the saved report definition. Update that definition carefully because the next scheduled file uses the changes.
Use explicit recipients and review the next run before creating the schedule.
Pause, resume, or remove a schedule
- Open Reporting → Scheduled.
- Find the schedule.
- Use its active control to pause or resume delivery.
- Review the next run after resuming.
- Use the delete action only when the recurring delivery is no longer needed.
- Confirm deletion.
Review delivery history
- Open the saved report.
- Scroll to execution history.
- Review recent runs and exports.
- Download an available prior result when appropriate.
- Investigate failed or incomplete runs before the next scheduled time.
What happens next
Active schedules run the saved report and send the current result to the listed recipients. On-demand exports and prior execution files remain available according to the history shown in Nexus.
Troubleshooting
Create Schedule is unavailable
Select a saved report, enter a schedule name, choose the required timing, and add at least one valid recipient. Confirm your role includes scheduling access.
A recipient did not receive the report
Confirm the schedule is active, the address is correct, and the last run completed. Ask the recipient to check filtered or junk mail, then review execution history.
The delivered file contains unexpected rows
Open the saved report, review its dataset, date field, dates, and columns, then run it. Correct and save the report before the next delivery.
