Create and manage web appointments
Last updated July 23, 2026
Web Appointments lets customers request or book work from your website. Use separate widgets for different services, markets, or campaigns while keeping each widget's branding, availability, and approved websites controlled in Nexus.
Before you begin
Complete Company Profile, Business Units, Job Types, zones, and booking availability. Web Appointments may depend on your company's plan.
Open Web Appointments
Go to Settings → Communications → Web Appointments.
- Review the widget list.
- Check each widget's name, workflow, status, and approved domains.
- Click Refresh when a recent change is not shown.
- Select a widget to edit it, or click Create Widget.
Use separate, clearly named widgets when services or website experiences need different rules.
Create a widget
- Click Create Widget.
- Enter a Name and Description.
- Choose the booking Workflow.
- Start with Status set to Draft while you configure and test.
- Enter Approved Domains as the websites allowed to display the widget.
- Click Create.
- Open the new widget.
Configure services and availability
- Choose the business units that can receive bookings.
- Choose the job types customers may request.
- Choose the applicable zones or service areas.
- Review booking lead time, appointment duration, and other availability controls shown.
- Set any customer questions or confirmation wording.
- Save the widget.
The widget can only offer work that its selected business units, job types, service areas, and schedule support. Verify those relationships before publishing.
Review branding and customer experience
- Review the company name, logo, support phone, and other branding drawn from Company Profile.
- Edit the customer-facing title, instructions, or button text when those fields are available.
- Review the widget preview.
- Complete a demo booking from the customer's point of view.
- Confirm the resulting request or appointment uses the expected customer, location, job type, and business unit.
Test the complete customer path before changing a widget from Draft to an active status.
Publish or pause a widget
- Open the widget.
- Confirm the approved domains.
- Change Status from Draft to the active or published status shown.
- Save.
- Visit the approved website and complete another test.
To pause new online requests, return to the widget and change its status to the available inactive or draft choice. Do not remove the website installation unless that is part of the planned change.
What happens next
Customers using an approved website can follow the widget's saved booking flow. New requests enter the configured Nexus workflow, where staff can continue with booking and customer notifications.
Troubleshooting
The widget does not appear on the website
Confirm the widget is active, the website is listed under Approved Domains, and the website uses the current widget setup. Test in a private browser window after saving.
A service or time is missing
Review selected business units, job types, zones, technician availability, shifts, and booking rules. Try the same details in New Job.
Branding is outdated
Update Company Profile, reopen the widget, apply the current company branding, and save again.
