Build and maintain Pricebook assemblies

Purpose and common uses
Assemblies group commonly sold services, materials, and equipment into one reusable selection. Use them for repeatable packages where the scope should stay together.
Before you begin
Create and verify the services, materials, and equipment that belong in the bundle. Decide whether the assembly uses a manual price or derives its price from included items.
Navigate to Assemblies
- Click Pricebook.
- Click Assemblies.
- Search existing assemblies and confirm a similar package does not already exist.
Price mode explains whether the assembly total is controlled directly or based on its items.
Create an assembly
- Click Add Assembly.
- Enter a code, name, and customer-facing description.
- Assign categories and select the active status.
- Choose the price mode.
- Add the required services, materials, and equipment.
- Review each included quantity, cost, and price.
- Set the assembly price when using a manual price.
- Confirm tax behavior and save.
Review both the bundle price and its included-item quantities before saving.
Use View/Edit Assembly to revise a package. Choose Duplicate when creating a good-better-best variation, then change its name, scope, and price before saving. Select several assemblies for Assign Categories, tax, archive, or restore actions.
What happens next
Active assemblies appear under Add Item → Assembly on estimates and invoices. They can also be included as line-item sections in estimate templates.
Troubleshooting
The assembly total is unexpected
Check its price mode, manual price, included quantities, and each component's current price. Then review the copied line items on the document.
An included item is missing
Confirm the component is active. Edit the assembly, add the item again, and save.
Updating an assembly did not change an existing estimate
Existing documents keep the assembly values saved when it was added. Edit or replace the estimate line item when the revised bundle should apply.
