Use the job workspace

The job workspace keeps the customer, service location, schedule, work records, communications, and financial information together.

Open a job

  1. Click Jobs.
  2. Search or filter for the job.
  3. Click the Job ID.

The job header identifies the work. The main column holds activity, while the right column provides location, quick-action, and financial information.

Use the job header

The header shows the job number, current status, creation date, customer, service location, and priority.

Common header actions include:

  • click the pencil to edit the business unit, job type, campaign, or priority;
  • click the customer or location to open that record;
  • click Property Data to review available property information;
  • click Create Invoice to begin billing; and
  • open the three-dot menu for additional job actions.

Available actions depend on the job's current state and your permissions.

Review the job summary and tasks

Job Summary holds the office and field context for this job. Use its edit control to add or update the summary.

Job Tasks shows work items connected to the job:

  • click Open Task Manager to review all tasks;
  • click Log Task to add a task from the job.

Manage scheduling and appointments

Scheduling & Appointments shows each appointment's:

  • status;
  • start date and time;
  • arrival window;
  • expected duration;
  • assigned technicians; and
  • special instructions.

Click Add Appointment when the job needs another visit.

Select at least one technician before creating an additional appointment.

Use the appointment pencil to edit its details. Use the three-dot appointment menu to reschedule, reassign, dispatch, update work status, or send a booking confirmation.

Review estimates, invoices, and history

Use the tabs under the appointment section:

  • Invoices lists bills connected to the job.
  • Estimates lists proposed work connected to the job.
  • History shows changes and activity over time.

Click an item to open its full record.

Review communications and files

Communications brings together calls and message threads connected to the job.

Attachments holds job forms, photos, videos, and uploaded files. Click Upload to add a file your team needs.

Use Quick Actions

Depending on the job, Quick Actions can include:

  • Add Form to Job
  • Create Estimate
  • Create Invoice
  • Edit Timesheets
  • Adjust Splits
  • Auto Dispatch
  • Complete Job

Use Complete Job only after the field work is finished and the job record is ready to close.

Review financials

Financials summarizes revenue, costs, projected payroll cost, net profit, and profit margin. These totals update as billing and cost information is added to the job.
